Our local historical society has three buildings that they’ve been refurbishing to create a historical village. The general store is already finished. My husband, Will, and several other volunteers have been working on refurbishing the two old houses. That project is ongoing. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been out there photographing their progress and even helped a little. On Sunday I saw that the floors of the shotgun house have been refinished and are beautiful. I couldn’t get pictures of the floor yet, but I thought I would share some other photos of the project with you.
By the way, if anyone is interested, the historical society is looking for volunteers to help with the current and future projects. They would also welcome donations.
